Set phasers to new column!

*Right, sorry about that. Here it is. It's definitely one of the more sarcastic things I've written lately, although I'm not exaggerating my near-total lack of experience with Star Trek beyond the original series - I've literally never seen an entire episode of Deep Space Nine or Enterprise.

Looking over this, I guess I kind of come off like I hated the new movie, which I totally didn't; there was fun stuff, decent lines, etc. But I did want to focus my column on 'franchise revival' stuff, since that's the real comics applicability there, and that's where a lot of my problems with the movie happened to come from, as it happened.
